Refund Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

This page explains, in plain terms, how refunds work on Cars4k. It restates and expands on the Refunds clause in our Terms of Service; if the two ever conflict, the Terms of Service control.

1. General Policy

Except where required by law, all payments to Cars4k — subscriptions, single-clip purchases, and the Founding Garage Pass — are non-refundable. This reflects how the product is delivered: a download is instant and permanent, so once a clip has been downloaded, the licensed value has already been provided in full.

We may still issue a refund at our discretion, for example where a genuine defect in the delivered file prevented normal use. Requesting one does not guarantee it will be granted.

2. Subscriptions

You can cancel a subscription at any time from Account → Billing. Cancelling stops future renewals, but does not refund the current billing period — your plan, and everything it unlocks, remains active until the end of the period you already paid for.

3. Single-Clip Purchases

A single-clip purchase is non-refundable once the clip has been downloaded. If you purchased a clip by mistake and have not yet downloaded it, contact us at legal@cars4k.com before downloading and we will consider the request.

4. Founding Garage Pass

The Founding Garage Pass is a one-time, lifetime purchase and is subject to the same general non-refundable policy above, plus its own stated terms and available quantity at the time of purchase.

5. Billing Errors

If you believe you were charged in error — for example, charged twice for the same purchase, or charged after a cancellation that should have taken effect — contact us at legal@cars4k.com with your receipt or account email. We will investigate and refund any amount that was genuinely charged in error.

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card issuer (a "chargeback") instead of contacting us first, access tied to that purchase — the subscription, the clip's license, or the Founding Pass — may be suspended immediately while the dispute is open, and reinstated only if the dispute is resolved in your favor. Contacting us first is almost always faster and does not risk losing access in the meantime.

7. How to Request a Refund

Email legal@cars4k.com with the email address on your account and, if you have it, the receipt or order reference from Stripe. We aim to respond within a few business days.

8. Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund, withdrawal, or cancellation right you have under mandatory law in your jurisdiction (for example, statutory withdrawal rights in some countries), which applies regardless of what this page or our Terms of Service say. See the Governing Law section of our Terms of Service for [TBD: jurisdiction-specific detail, pending legal review].
